Hugh Jackman’s girlfriend Sutton Foster, 51, admitted to feelings of “loneliness” amid the intense media attention surrounding her public romance with the Wolverine star.
Foster recently joined a Women’s Health Lab panel called ‘The Science of Staying Strong: Longevity, Movement & Resilience’, where she discussed how she deals with stress in the public eye.
“I’ve been a leading lady for a long time… but often I feel really alone,” Foster said.
“I reached out to a lot of my contemporaries last year, and a lot of the women on Broadway, and we all are usually on our own. Everyone shared the commonality of loneliness,” she said, according to the publication.
The Broadway star, who went public with her romance with Jackman, 57, in January 2025, also referenced how women are often “pitted against each other” in the industry.
“Women of power can actually support each other, and we don’t have to be pitted against each other,” Foster said.
“There’s room for more than just one of us.”

On the panel, Foster also shared her daily destressing routine including a nightly bath.
She also credited her “side hustle as a fitness instructor” for giving her strength to face each day.
Jackman and Foster – who co-stared in Broadway’s The Music Man from 2021 to 2023 – were first romantically linked in late 2024.
It came after Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, 70, shocked the world in September 2023 when they announced their divorce after 30 years of marriage and Foster’s split from partner of 11 years Ted Griffin.
Following months of speculation, Jackman and Foster’s relationship was confirmed in January 2025 when they were photographed strolling hand-in-hand in Santa Monica, California.
Jackman has been pretty public about his romance with Foster, taking to Instagram to gush over her just a few weeks after they went public.
“Sutton Lenore performing during the holidays at Cafe Carlyle … not that’s an iconic NYC night,” the actor wrote.
“And, truly magical.”
Jackman posted a photo of Foster smiling wide while performing on stage with a small band.
They made their first red carpet appearance together at the Song Sung Blue premiere in October 2025.
Later in May 2026, they brought Broadway magic to the Met Gala and most recently cosied up on the red carpet at the New York premiere of the showman’s newest film, The Sheep Detectives.
