Katie Price disputes claim from Lee Andrews’ dad that he has been arrested

Katie Price has dismissed Lee Andrews’ dad’s claim the businessman has been arrested as “fake news”.

Katie Price is still searching for Lee Andrews

The 48-year-old glamour model recently filed a missing person’s report with authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after her husband – who she married in January shortly after meeting for the first time – failed to board a flight to the UK and allegedly told her he had been kidnapped, but over the weekend, his dad Peter insisted he had spoken to Lee and he was being held by authorities in Dubai.

Peter told the Daily Mail: “Lee is OK.

“He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don’t know on what charge.

“I’m not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today.

“He is not at my house.”

A police insider added: “Lee Andrews has been arrested.”

However, hours later Katie disputed Peter’s statement and insisted Lee was “still missing”.

She fumed on social media: “This is fake news.

“Lee is still missing. Me and his family know what’s going on and working

with the authorities involved.”

Katie had previously expressed fears that Lee – who she married in January following a whirlwind romance – had been “kidnapped” but suggested earlier this week on her podcast that she had given up searching for her spouse to preserve her “own sanity”.

She said on her Katie Price Show Podcast: “I’m taking a step back, for my own sanity.

“There’s only one person I need to look after and that is myself., I’ve still got to work, there’s exciting things coming up, but for my sanity… I don’t know what’s true, what’s not true. I’m like that now, I don’t know.

“Like I said, my tentacles are up now, my antennas are up and I’ve decided to take a step back from everything, assess everything my way, and just continue with my life, and what will be will be.”

On Tuesday (19.05.26), Katie shared her most recent WhatsApp exchange with Lee, in which he claimed he had been “arrested”.

One message shared with The Sun newspaper read: “Been arrested I’ll be in touch I’m OK xx (sic).”

But in another text, Lee suggested he had not been arrested.

He typed: “It’s a black site, I love you, I sort it. I’m in the van… just being detained wtf. (sic)”

The publication reports that CID headquarters have not arrested anyone by Lee’s name.

Lee told Katie to keep tracking his “live location” and to contact the embassy as he was being driven to a hidden state-run detention facility by people who also took his second phone.

Lee said: “Keep that on babe love you.”
