Mis-Teeq Are BACK! Legendary Trio Confirm Long-Awaited Reunion With One-Off Wembley Gig

Sound the alarm… British garage-pop royalty are officially back! More than two decades after they helped define the sound – and swagger – of early-2000s U.K. club culture, Mis-Teeq have announced their long-awaited reunion, confirming a one-night-only headline show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley this September.

The pioneering trio – Sabrina Washington, Alesha Dixon, and Su-Elise Nash – revealed today (May 22nd) that they will reunite for A One Night Stand With Mis-Teeq, set for Saturday, September 12th, in what marks the group’s first major live performance together in years.

Tickets for the show go on general sale at 10am on Friday, May 29th. Fans can also sign up to the Mis-Teeq mailing list for first access to tickets, with an artist presale starting at 10am on Wednesday, 27th May.

For fans raised on champagne-soaked garage beats, diamanté-era music videos, and the unmistakable bounce of tracks like ‘Scandalous’, ‘All I Want’, and ‘Why?’, the announcement lands like a transmission from a golden age of British pop. Few groups managed to fuse U.K. garage, R&B, and mainstream chart ambition with the same ease – or influence – as Mis-Teeq, whose arrival at the turn of the millennium helped bring underground Black British club sounds into the pop spotlight.

Their sleek harmonies and bass-heavy production arrived at a pivotal moment for U.K. music, bridging pirate-radio energy with crossover chart success. While American R&B dominated global airwaves in the early 2000s, Sabrina, Alesha and Su-Elise carved out a distinctly British identity: fast-paced two-step rhythms, glossy hooks, and a fashion sense that became instantly era-defining.

Alesha says: “Nothing happens before it’s time, and I can’t think of a better time than now to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ‘Lickin On Both Sides’! We can’t wait to relive the magic and energy of that record and many more, with the very people who made it so special. I’m also excited for my daughters ‘the Mis-Teeq babies’ to see us coming back strong!”

Su-Elise adds:  “It honestly feels surreal that 25 years later people still connect so deeply with the music we made together. Looking back, I’m so proud that Mis-Teeq played a part in bringing UK Garage to the masses, and I don’t think any of us could have imagined the lasting impact our songs would continue to have. Wembley feels like the perfect place to celebrate that journey, the memories, and the fans who have stayed with us through every chapter. I can’t wait to be back on stage with my Mis-Teeq ladies and to see the look on my son’s little face when he watches his mummy step out and perform again for the first time in decades! It’s going to be a very special night indeed.”

Sabrina says: “It feels incredibly emotional looking back 25 years later and realising how deeply our music has connected with people around the world. We created these records simply for our love of music and the different sounds that inspired us — from Garage, R&B, Hip-Hop and Reggae — never knowing how impactful they would become. I feel incredibly grateful and humbled that they still mean so much to so many people today, and the love from the fans across generations is something I’ll never take for granted.”

Mis-Teeq – Scandalous (Official Video)

Having originally formed in the late 90s, Mis-Teeq quickly evolved from underground favourites into chart fixtures, scoring a run of Top 10 hits and earning international attention! Their breakout single ‘Why?’ introduced audiences to their sultry, club-ready sound before tracks like ‘Roll On / This Is How We Do It’ and ‘Can’t Get It Back’ cemented their status as one of the most influential girl groups of the decade.

Though they officially went their separate ways in 2005, speculation about a comeback has followed them ever since. Reunion rumours intensified periodically over the years, particularly as nostalgia for early-2000s British pop and garage culture surged across streaming platforms, festivals, and TikTok edits. Still, until now, a full-scale return remained elusive.

The Wembley announcement finally makes it official.

While specific details surrounding the performance remain under wraps, the show is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ‘Lickin’ On Both Sides’ – the group’s landmark debut album – alongside their wider catalog and lasting legacy. Fans are already anticipating surprise guests, archival visuals, and a full-scale revival of the Y2K garage aesthetic that Mis-Teeq helped pioneer.

Their return also arrives amid a wider renaissance for U.K. garage and R&B. A new generation of artists – from PinkPantheress to FLO – have openly embraced the sounds and visual language that groups like Mis-Teeq helped popularise. In many ways, the trio’s influence never disappeared; it simply evolved into the DNA of modern British pop.

Now, the architects are stepping back onto the stage themselves.

For longtime fans, A One Night Stand With Mis-Teeq is more than a reunion concert. It’s the return of a group that helped soundtrack a generation – and reshaped the possibilities of British pop in the process.
