‘Practical Magic 2’ Release Date Announced

Practical Magic, the 1998 film starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, is getting a sequel – Practical Magic 2 – and yes, we have a release date!

Warner Bros. has confirmed the film will be out on September 18, 2026, sharing a brief clip on their social media page with Nic and Sandra narrating:

“Tooth of wolf, and morning dew, something old and something new. Let the spell begin to mix, September 18th, 2026.”

They also confirmed the obvious – that Nicole and Sandra would be reprising their roles. Plus Avika Goldsman will be returning to write the script.

The magical news comes after Warner Bros. said in June last year that a sequel was in the works. They announced it over on TikTok with a video of Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock’s character) dancing around with her sister Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman’s character) while having some margaritas.

The original film follows the story of the Owens sisters who are from a long line of witches. They’ve avoided doing any witchcraft themselves due to a curse placed on their bloodline – one that causes any man that an Owens woman falls in love with to die. But when things take a turn in their lives, the sisters find they have no option but to cast some spells…

There’s no word yet on the plot for the Practical Magic sequel. All the details are being kept under wraps, as is the full cast.
