Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin‘s daughter, Apple Martin, is making her film debut alongside her mother’s former co-stars.
The 22-year-old has scored a coveted role in an upcoming Nancy Meyers-directed comedy, starring opposite Tony Hale and Beverly D’Angelo.
Erin Doherty, Penélope Cruz, Jude Law, Owen Wilson and Kieran Culkin round out the ensemble cast.
Paltrow has paired up with Law several times throughout her career, namely for 1999’s The Talented Mr. Ripley, 2004’s Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and 2011’s Contagion.
The 53-year-old has also worked with Wilson in 2001’s The Royal Tenenbaums, and Cruz in 2007’s The Good Night.
The young star took to Instagram to share the happy news. Sharing a screenshot of the Deadline article announcing the casting news, Apple wrote, “Dreams come true!!! Thank you @nmeyers for taking a chance on me.”

Meyers is renowned for her refreshing and realistic takes on life and love, which has made her a highly regarded director.
The director hinted at the content of the film in a 2023 Instagram post, sharing the film will be “about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do.”

Apple made her debut in a cameo in the HBO show Rooster in March 2026. She has also completed filming for short film The Glitter Fades.
Before this, she made appearances in Coldplay concert films due to her dad’s position as vocalist, pianist and co-founder of the rock band, as well as her mother’s Netflix documentary series The Goop Lab.
It’s not the only achievement the actress has undergone, with Apple having just graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Law, History and Society.
She has also made her mark in music, having made her singing debut at Nashville’s Cannery Hall with the Jade Street band in October, and having songwriting credits on Coldplay’s hits Let Somebody Go and feelslikeimfallinginlove.
