The 38-year-old ATG Entertainment producer and the 43-year-old filmmaker-and-director have called their relationship quits after almost eight years of marriage, but they remain “best of friends” and are focused on co-parenting their four-year-old son, Oliver.

Bee and Francesco said in a statement to Page Six: “After 10 wonderful years together, we have decided to separate. Although our career paths led us in different directions, we remain the very best of friends and devoted, committed parents to our son.

“This is the only statement we will make, and we respectfully ask for privacy.”

Their breakup came over a week after they stepped out in New York City on May 6 for one of fashion’s biggest events, the Met Gala, an annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, chaired by Bee’s mom, ex-Vogue editor-in-chief Anna, 76.

In 2018, Bee and Francesco, the son of late Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, said “I do” in front of 150 guests during a reported phone-free, intimate ceremony, officiated by actor Colin Firth, 65, at Anna’s home in Mastic, Long Island.

The couple also had a second bash in Portofino, Italy.

Bee and Francesco were first romantically linked in October 2016, when she attended a screening – co-hosted by Anna – of his documentary about his mom, Franca: Chaos and Creation, in New York City.

He popped the question the following year.

In 2014, Bee told Teen Vogue magazine that it was “more interesting” being Anna’s daughter when The Devil Wears Prada – formidable Runway Magazine editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), is based on Anna – was released in 2006.

Bee explained: “She became more famous. But she is the most generous person you will ever meet – she puts everyone before herself, always – I know who she is.”

And the only similarities Bee and Anna have are being punctual and waking up at 5am or 6am.

Bee said: “I’m very punctual…And, I actually don’t understand when people are late. It’s so easy to be on time!

“You just feel like a superior person [when you’re up early].”

Anna and her late ex-husband, psychiatrist David Shaffer – who were married from 1984 until 1999 – welcomed Bee into the world in July 1987.

The former couple’s first child, son Charles Shaffer, 41, was born in 1985.
