Katie Price defends Lee Andrews after his UK no-show

Katie Price has claimed Lee Andrews failed to join her in the UK because he was busy with work.

Katie Price had to do an interview without Lee Andrews

The former glamour model married the 42-year-old businessman in January just days after they met in person in Dubai, and while it has been reported that Lee is banned from leaving the UAE after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend Dina Taji’s signature to secure a £200,000 loan, he had agreed to a live interview with his wife on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday (12.05.26) – but failed to show up.

And Katie played down the suggestion Lee – who has denied the forgery allegation – was not allowed to get on a plane.

Host Susanna Reid said: “This morning, we invited Katie and her new husband Lee back into GMB, the first time we met Lee in person, but he didn’t make his flight from Dubai yesterday.”

Katie said: “Because of his business, he had some things to do last minute.”

The 47-year-old star – who has five children from previous relationships – insisted Lee was “on his way” to the UK as they spoke and no such travel ban was in place.

Co-host Ed Balls said: “We asked the Foreign Office if Lee had any travel ban in place and they responded saying we supported a British man who was detained in the United Arab Emirates. Katie joins us now. Are the Foreign Office right? Did Lee get arrested at the airport?”

She said: “No, they just said it to me in there. I just said, ‘Lee apparently a British man has been detained. Can just you confirm it’s not you?’

“I obviously know it’s not him, so he’s done a voicenote back and laughing emojis. He said, ‘No it’s not me’ in a voicenote. He’s sent me pictures, he’s now at the airport, he’s on his way.

“He just didn’t make the flight [to the UK on Monday]. He’s coming over here to spend a few months now. He’s been sorting out my Visa, my international driving license. He’s flying from Muscat [Oman], but he had things to do and didn’t make the flight. All his business stuff is there. He’s at the airport now.”

Katie insisted she doesn’t think Lee is “unreliable” and she trusts him.

She said: “I know no one believes me. But your face says it all. I’ve been in Dubai, I only came back on Friday.

“I can’t keep going to Dubai, I’ve got work and kids here.

“Well, he pays for it. I can’t keep going to Dubai, so he’s shifting over here, to spend time over here now.

“I said, ‘I keep flying to you, you’ve got to come to England now.’ “

When he does get to the UK, Katie plans to introduce Lee to her children, but will take things “slowly” with the younger ones, Jett, 12, and 11-year-old Bunny.

She said: “He’s seen them on all FaceTime, he hasn’t met anyone, because he’s been in Dubai.

“He’s been on the phone to all my family.

“Yes, he will meet the family. The younger two, obviously I want to [introduce him] slowly. Not suddenly [go], “Here’s Lee now!” coming into the house and that. Obviously they are young kids.

“I don’t want to give the impression that now I have met a guy that he’s moving in. None of them have got a problem. They are all happy.

“Princess makes me laugh because every time she’s on the phone to him she asks him, ‘Can you buy me a Birkin?’ I’m like, ‘You wish, Princess!’

“Harvey can’t wait to meet him. He keeps doing drawings for Lee, the frog drawings, FaceTimes him all the time when he’s in Dubai, the younger two, they are going through a lot of stuff anyway.”
