Noah Wyle “became” his character from The Pitt and treated an injured co-star on set.

The 54-year-old actor leads the cast of the real-time medical drama as Dr. Michael ‘Robby’ Robinavitch and he sprang into action when Laetitia Hollard accidentally banged her elbow while shooting in the crowded “control hub” of the main set, leading to a bloody scrape.

Letitia – who plays shy nursing graduate Emma Nolan – explained on Warner Bros. TV’s A Lot More podcast: “I had this little moment where you see me enter in episode 1 with this notebook and all these things on me.

“And Dana (Katherine LaNasa) finally tells me, ‘Hey, you can go grab your notebook.’

“I am so excited to grab it. I’m like, ‘Finally, I can use the tools that I brought here. I’m ready for this.’

“So I had to squeeze past Noah to get my notebook, because he’s talking, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m being little shy Emma. And every time I squeezed past, I would bump my elbow a little bit.’ “

Letitia brushed off the bump the first few times, but things took a turn for the worse when she was told the camera would be locked on her for a take.

She said: “Adrenaline just automatically is in my system. So I bump it again, and I go and I get that notebook, and when I come back, when I reset, I see there’s like fake blood on the counter.

“And I literally say to someone, ‘Who left fake blood here?’ And Noah goes, ‘I think you nicked yourself.’ I look at my elbow, it’s covered with blood.”

The former E.R. star then quickly sprang into action and, rather than taking his co-star to the on-set medic, he treated her himself.

Letitia continued: “Noah was like, ‘Don’t worry, this is the best place for this to happen.’ And he brought me, he’s like, ‘You have so many medical professionals, and he became like Dr. Robby.

“He brought me to a corner, he brought out the gauze, the disinfectant. I was like, ‘Wait, I’m in the Pitt right now. “

But a “real nurse” eventually passed by, and Noah suggested they attend to Letitia and “‘not me. I’m pretending.”
