Holly Madison has opened up about her awkward sex life with Hugh Hefner.
‘It was a really weird scene and nobody liked it’: Holly Madison details group sex sessions with Hugh Hefner
The 45-year-old star – who rose to fame on ‘Girls Next Door’, the reality show focused on the lives of Hefner’s girlfriends at the Playboy Mansion – admitted she and the other women found the group sex with Hefner “really weird”.
Speaking on the Let’s Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari podcast, she explained: “It would be kind of silhouetted because you’d have, like, these giant screens of porn going and it would be just girls like talking s*** with each other.
“It was a really weird scene and nobody liked it and everybody tried to just get it done as fast as possible.
“Kind of like taking turns and then the girls who weren’t active with him were kind of like acting like they were active with the other girls, but not really.”
And, Holly admitted she was relieved when he lost interest in group sex after the E! reality series, The Girls Next Door started filming.
She explained: “But after we started filming the show, [the group sex sessions] just stopped, which was amazing. He loved the show. He was like high off the show. It gave him new relevance, like the ego boost. So he didn’t really feel the need to like, ‘Oh, I have to do these compulsive sex nights to make myself feel wanted and relevant,’ I think.
“I think me, Bridget, and Kendra were so on the same page that we just didn’t want to do that anymore. Nobody had to say anything. We were just like, ‘OK, we’re not going out anymore.’”
Madison was first introduced to viewers of the show when it launched in 2005.
She was one of Hefner’s main girlfriends, alongside Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.
The sixth and final season premiered in 2009, introducing his future wife, Crystal Harris, as well as twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon.
Hefner was married to Harris when he died in 2017, at the age of 91. She eloped with James Ward on April 2 on Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.
