Robert Irwin has finally confirmed he’s returning to the ballroom after months of rumours.
The Wildlife Warrior announced he’ll be hosting a Dancing with the Stars spin-off series, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, during Hulu’s Get Real House, a Los Angeles event where the streaming platform announces what shows it has coming up.
Irwin appeared on stage with his DWTS dance partner Witney Carson there to support him.
“Crikey, this is going to be fun! I just want to start dancing,” he told the audience.
The show will premiere on July 13, and comes after months of speculation Irwin was going to return to reality TV.
Other DWTS pros will appear on the show, acting as mentors and guest judges for the contestants.
Irwin officially announced the news to his fans via Instagram.

“I am so excited to be back with my ballroom family to host this new era of DWTS,” he wrote.
“Witney and I took a little detour from the DWTS live tour to make the exciting announcement.”
Irwin is currently touring the US in the Dancing with the Stars live show.
The series will feature 12 dancers from around the world trying to become the next pro dancer on season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.
They’ll move into a home together and go through the rigorous audition process, all while cameras watch on.
The show is being filmed in Irwin’s home state of Queensland, according to the Daily Mail.
He was asked back to the DWTS universe after winning the Mirrorball Trophy last year.
Irwin and Carson won in “one of the tightest gaps” the show has ever seen against runner-ups Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy.
Both couples individually received more votes than anyone has ever received in the show’s history.
Irwin and Carson teared up as they accepted the trophy, with Irwin taking the mic for a short victory speech.
“My sister said it best, thank you for changing my life,” he said, referring to Bindi Irwin’s video message that aired shortly before the announcement, in which she referenced her own win on the show 10 years earlier.
Bindi congratulated her brother on Instagram after his win, writing, “Two mirrorballs now call Australia Zoo home.”
“Congratulations and all the love in the world to Robert Irwin and Witney Carson. What. A. Night.”
Bindi won the Mirrorball Trophy during her time on the show in 2015.
