“Just Continue”: Meghan’s Wish For People Experiencing Bullying – CelebrityKind || Positive Celebrity News | Movies TV Music Books

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has shared some powerful words of encouragement for anyone who has experienced bullying.

Speaking to university students in Melbourne at a mental health engagement programme run by Batyr on Thursday, April 16, 2026, Meghan recalled the relentless online and media bullying she’s experienced for many years: “For now, 10 years, every day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked. And I was the most trolled person in the entire world.”

She added, “But I’m still here.”

Meghan explained that social media platforms are billion-dollar industries “completely anchored and predicated on cruelty to get clicks – that’s not going to change.”

She encouraged students to “be stronger than that” and shared Dr. Maya Angelou’s powerful words:

“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. And to allow humour to lighten the burden of your tender heart.”

Meghan said that was her wish for all those listening to her too.: “And you can do it. You can do it together. And I’m not going to say it’s easy. I will personally tell you it is not easy. But you can do it. And my wish for all of you is to just continue.”

The visit was part of the Duchess’ brief visit to Australia with Prince Harry.
